30+ Years Serving Communities with Patience & Cheer
Born in England to Irish parents, I lived in Toronto, Canada for 10 years before moving to the USA and going to school in Long Beach, California.
For 30 years I drove a city bus in Long Beach, carrying thousands upon thousands of people to their destinations. That job taught me patience and how to connect with every kind of person.
After retiring in 2015, I sent to England for a Santa suit. It arrived just before Christmas 2020. I became "Covid Santa", visiting about 20 houses and 60 kids from my car. The Spirit of Christmas took hold, and I became Santa Nicky.
I want to show the children that we all Believe in Santa, and I will do anything in my power to make their experience a remarkable one.
A tale to read together
Of course, the pandemic meant things couldn't be done the usual way. If I were going to visit children, I had to be able to do it safely. So I came up with a plan: how to become Covid Santa.
